Chatrix is an adult-only service. Child sexual abuse and exploitation has no place on this platform, and we act on every report we receive.
Chatrix prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. This includes, without limitation:
There is no warning and no strike system for CSAE. An account found to be involved is terminated immediately and permanently.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Chatrix. This is stated in our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, and it is a condition of entering a chat.
Chatrix is not directed at children and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the service. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, the account is terminated and its data is deleted.
The Chatrix Android app is rated for adults and uses Google Play's controls to restrict access by minors.
Chatrix runs automated moderation against live video. When it detects nudity or sexual content, the call is interrupted and the account is flagged for review.
Every call has a one-tap report button. Reports are the fastest way a violation reaches us, and reports naming a suspected minor are prioritised above all other report types.
Reports are reviewed by a person, not only by automated systems. Our reviewers can suspend or permanently terminate an account, and a CSAE finding results in immediate permanent termination rather than a strike.
Chatrix video and audio travel directly between participants (peer-to-peer) and the stream itself is not recorded. Where automated moderation flags a stream, a single low-resolution still frame is retained for human review. We can therefore act on an account and review what was flagged, but we cannot reconstruct a past call.
During a call: use the report button in the chat window. You can report and block in one action.
After a call, or about anything else: use our abuse report form, or email the child-safety contact below.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Reporting to Chatrix is not a substitute for contacting law enforcement.
In the United States, suspected child sexual exploitation can also be reported directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at report.cybertip.org. Outside the US, report to your national law enforcement or hotline.
Where we identify apparent child sexual abuse material on Chatrix, we refer it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
Account data associated with a CSAE termination is preserved where we are lawfully required to do so, even though call content itself is never recorded.
